Rexing wheels come with a hub with 3 holes equispaced at 50.8 mm diameter. It accepts almost all formula type quick release bosses. If needed, intermediate adapter can be bolted on to accept different type of mount.
The wheel is connected to a USB port using a coiled USB cable that comes with the steering wheel. Plug it directly into a powered USB hub if you have one. If your USB hub is too far, use a higher quality extension USB cable not longer than 2 m, and plug it directly into your PC (PC back USB connector), not in the hub. If you need a longer cable, use an active USB cable (repeater). Also, plug the coiled cable directly into the active cable, and active cable directly into the computer.
CORRECT WAY:
Rexing coiled cable -> Powered hub -> PC
Rexing coiled cable -> extension USB cable up to 2 m -> PC
Rexing coiled cable -> active USB cable (repeater) up to 5 m -> PC
NOT RECOMMENDED (can cause issues with connection):
Rexing coiled cable -> USB extension cable -> Powered hub -> PC
Rexing coiled cable -> USB extension cable longer than 2 m -> PC
It can be connected to Fanatec base using Fanatec podium hub. Please refer to Fanatec website to check wheel compatibility with podium hub.
These wheels require an additional adapter. Contact us if you need one, we can supply a 3D printed adapter free of charge.
Rexing formula wheel uses Ultimate Game Tech software. Please note software is needed only to show data on the display unit. The steering wheel can be used without any software with full functionality, except the display.
All currently popular racing games are supported. For a detailed list please see: https://ultimategametech.com/sims/
By default, clutch bite adjustment is disabled. This means that each clutch paddle operates its own axis. To enable clutch bite adjustment (and single axis clutch operation), go to UGT Manager > Input Devices > UGT Race LCD. Check the “Launch Control Enabled” box. Click “Save Settings”. Now you can adjust clutch 2 maximum point either with Clutch Adjust slider in software or with “Clutch Bite” potentiometer at the front of the wheel.
In UGT Manager go to Input Devices > UGT Race LCD V2. In General Settings check the “Launch Control Enabled” box and then move the clutch adjustment slider all the to the left (0 position). Now the potentiometer will adjust the maximum bite of clutch two.
The second potentiometer is usually assigned to display brightness. For configuration, open UGT manager and go to Global options > Global mappings. Then find “Brightness control” setting and assign the potentiometer to that setting.
Brightness changes are only visible while the display is functioning, not when it’s idle.
The analog joystick and the clutch paddles are already calibrated. However, if the travel range is not satisfactory (start position is not at 0% or end position does not reach 100%), calibration is required. It should be done from UGT software > Input devices > UGT Race LCD. In the “Analog Settings” box click “Calibrate” and follow the instructions. Click “Save Settings” when you’re done.
Important: do not use Windows calibration because it will interfere with default calibration and cause unsatisfactory results.
While it can be assigned directly in most games, in some games (F1 2019, for example) analog movement of the joystick can be misinterpreted. We recommend using third-party programs, like “Joy2Key” or freeware “Antimicro”. Using these apps, joystick movements can be assigned to keyboard keys (arrow keys for navigation). It can even be assigned to mouse movement.
